SUMMARY OF THE STORY
This is a fictious story of a young seagull. The time had come when he must learn to fly. His to brothers and a little sister had learnt how to fly by imitating their parents. they had simply run to brink of the ledge, flew off their wings and flown a way.
But the young seagull came to the brink and tride to fly in the air he became afraid. He felt sure that if he tried to fly he would fall into the sea bellow. so he ran back to his hole on the ledge. his parents came to take him along with them. But he refused to fly. they threatened that he would starve on the ledge. But the bird was to afraid to move. Twenty-four hours passed. the seagull had not eaten anything. he began to feel very hungry.
Then He saw his mother sitting on a plateau. She was eating a fish. the sight increased his hunger. He pleaded her mother to give him some food. The mother looked at him derisively. But the next movement she picked up a piece of fish and flew towards him. She did not come to him.
She hovered over him and her wings became motionless. he could not bear it any longer. He was desperately hunger. he dived at fish. He could not reach near to his mother but fell form the ledge downwards into space. He was filled with fear and cride.
But this fear lasted only a minute . He spread his wings and flew. He cride with joy and started flying higher and higher. his parents , brothers and sister flew around him. they were all happy. After a while the seagull’s parents, brothers and sister landed on the sea. They ask him to come there.
The seagull thought it was a green turf. He tried to stand on the sea, but his legs sank into it and he frightened. His belly touched the water and he did not drown. He began to float on the sea. his family members praised him and gave him pieces of fish to eat. This was how the seagull made his first flight.

Ans- The young seagull was afraid to fly because he felt that his wings could not support him, that’s why the seagull’s father and mother threatened him and persuaded him to fly.

Ans- My father is a good swimmer. He was a swimming champion during his collage days. I also wanted to be like him but was scared of water. He baught a beautiful swimming costume for me but I was not motivated .
