When the class was watching wanda’s beautiful sketches of dresses . Miss mason received note from wanda’s father. It gave the information about wanda’s living the school since they had shifted to a big city.
The not also had an indirect complant . it said no one will make fun of her name and call ‘pullack’ to her because their would be many funny names and forigeners like her in a big city.
The whole class was silent . MIss mason was unhappy and upset . She said that she hoped none in the class purposly heart someone because his/her name happend to be unfamilirer . And that what waws said in thoughtlessness . she excepted everyone to think about the whole matter.
Maddie could not conceniration in her study in the first period because she felt guilty. She had stood by silently when peggy and other girls teasted wanda-asking question about her hundread dresses . She knew it was wrong but was to coward to object to it.
